Book a low-cost ride

Bolt: Fast Affordable Rides or formerly known as Taxify is a transport application that works just like Grab and Uber. Developed by Bolt Technology OU, this travel and navigation utility allows you to get picked up by a nearby driver and enjoy a low-cost ride to your destination. It provides many payment options through in-cash or your linked debit/credit card.

The app itself can be downloaded free of charge but, the service that it offers will cost you money. So far, Bolt is available in over 30 countries as well as in more than 150 cities across the world.

Is Bolt cheaper than Uber?

Last July 2013, a fresh ride-hailing service was released to the world which is now closely competing with the giant transportation utilities like Uber. The biggest edge of Bolt against Uber is the low-priced fees that it charges its commuters. For the record, the commission that it charges to its drivers is almost half lower than what Uber levies, as well. This results in cheaper fares that riders offer their passengers.

Furthermore, the cancellation fee is also more affordable and discretional here. There are times that drivers no longer require a charge for cancelled rides especially when they are at fault. On top of that, it showcases a range of safety features such as its built-in SOS button that can directly link the riders with the emergency services, as well as a 24/7 call center for non-emergency situations and other customer queries.

This somehow solves the security issues that Uber is facing. In addition, you have the liberty to choose the car you desire to be driven in. Some of the options include sedans, SUVs, minivans, and executive vehicles depending on your needs and purposes. The only drawback is plenty of users report instances of accessibility issues and unfortunately, so far, the developer still has no solution for it yet.

Fast and affordable transportation

Bolt: Fast Affordable Rides is a handy app for your day-to-day transportation needs. It is no doubt an affordable alternative to other ride-hailing services that's more expensive like Grab and Uber, for instance. What's more, it's equipped with safety features that can bring you security and confidence every time you travel using this ride-sharing tool. If you're looking for cheaper transport options, this is highly recommended.
